21st May 2012. :- The installation ceremony of “Sri Guru Granth Sahib
Ji” at the New Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd.), Kharghar, Navi
MUmbai was performed at the hands of “Baba Nariender Singh Ji, Head of
Langer Saheb Nanded (Mukhee)” on 20th May 2012 (Sunday) with great
religious fervor and dedication. According to the “Sikh Mariyada” Bawa
Nariender Singh Ji recited the “first hukamnama” from Sri Guru Granth
Sahib Ji to the assemble Sadh Sangat. On this occasion, Baba Nariender
Singh Ji, explained in depth the historical back ground of compilation
of “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji by the Guru Arjun Dev Ji”, Its installation
at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar (Punjab) and “THE GURU MANYO GRANTH
DICTATE” issued by “Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, 10th Guru of the Sikhs in
1707 A. D. at Nanded Sahib (Maharashtra)”. He further exhorted the
assembled Sadh Sangat to religiously follow the ideals of the Gurus as
enshrined in “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji”.
“Punj Piaras” and sewadars carrying Nishaan Saheb, who led the “Nagar Kirtan” carrying “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji” were honored at the hands of Baba Nariender Singh Ji. Shri Mehar Singh Randhawa, President of Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar, Airoli, Navi Mumbai and General Secretary, Supreme Council Navi Mumbai Grurudwaras paid his obeisance to Baba Nariender Singh Ji on behalf of the Sikh Sadh Sangat of Navi Mumbai. Sh. Sardara Singh Malhotra, President of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd.), Kharghar felicitated the distinguished Sikh personalities for their contribution made towards the successful organization of the installation ceremony.
On this occasion, “Gurbani kirtand and Gurbani katha” was performed by the prominent Raagis which continued till 02.30 P. M. As usual, “Guru-Ka-Langar” was served one and all participating in the installation ceremony. Earlier, “Vishal Nagar Kirtan”, comprising of all the Gurudwaras of Navi Mumbai and Sikh Sadh Sangat was organized which started from the existing Gurudwara Sector–12, Kharghar to the New Gurudwara Plot No. 8, Sector – 22, Kharghar with great enthusiasm. Various “Sikh Martial Arts” was performed en-route to the best interest of the viewers. The procession reached the new Gurudwara Sahib at 10.30 A. M. Nearly Ten thousands of “Sikh Sadh Sangat” comprising of men, women and children, attired in colorful dresses, made the occasion a truly rich and colorful sikh traditions.
Gurudwara Sri Gruru Singh Sabha (Regd.), Kharghar, Navi Mumbai located at Plot No. 8, Sector – 22, Opposite the famous Central Park and adjoining to the most modern “Golf Club” of Navi Mumbai is being built on 1500 Square meter area enjoys added advantages on account of its prominent location. As explained by President, Sh. Saradara Singh Malhotra, the Gurudwara on its completion will have ground plus three floors. Gurudwara’s campus is being provided a land escapic view developed under and horticultural guidance. Additionally 10 rooms are being specially provided to accommodate various schemes being implemented by the Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee. This includes, computer classes, gurmat classes and well contained rooms to be provided to the Cancer patients relatives. “Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd.), Kharghar and its Management Committee attaches an utmost importance in providing social services to the poor and needy according to the sikh tenant”, Sh. Malhotra concluded. Shri Balwant Singh Sheera, a puran Gur-Sikh and well informed personality in Sikhs conducted the whole installation ceremony function in a reverent way.
